For us, Basel lies in zones 3 to 4: the drive from Kaiseraugst is 12 to 19 kilometres depending on the district, which is why the transport share is higher here than in, say, Liestal or Pratteln. In return, access is good in most parts of Basel — it only gets tighter in the Old Town and around the Marktplatz.

Frequently asked questions — skip hire in Basel
Does Muldex deliver skips to Basel?
Yes. Basel is served from our Kaiseraugst depot — the driving distance is 12,3 to 19,1 kilometres. The postcodes covered are 4000, 4001, 4002, 4005, 4009, 4010, 4018, 4019 and 20 more.
How much does a skip cost in Basel?
The price is made up of disposal and transport. Basel is in zones 3 to 4, which determines the transport share. You see the exact amount including VAT in the order form as soon as you have chosen the waste type, size and postcode — no enquiry and no waiting.
How quickly can I have a skip in Basel?
Usually within 24 to 48 hours. You choose the delivery date and the half-day directly when you order.
How quickly is the skip delivered?
We usually deliver within 24–48 hours of your order. When you order, you choose the delivery date and the half-day (morning or afternoon).
What types of waste can I put in a skip?
We offer skips for building rubble, excavated soil, mixed rubble, concrete, roof tiles and bricks, inert materials, bulky waste, green waste, waste wood, flat glass, Eternit and combustible waste for incineration. Each skip takes one type of waste only, kept separate.
Are the prices all-inclusive?
Yes. The price shown includes transport (delivery and collection), disposal and the statutory VAT of 8.1%. No hidden costs.
Which cantons does Muldex deliver to?
We serve the whole of German-speaking Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland (Romandie) — Geneva, Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Jura included. In Valais, we deliver to the Chablais and the Martigny area from our depot in Bex. Ticino, Graubünden and Uri are not yet served.
How do I pay for my skip?
You can choose: pay straight away with TWINT, or by invoice, payable within 15 days once the job is complete. With TWINT, you receive all the payment details (with your order number as the payment reference) by email and on the confirmation page.
How long can the skip stay?
The first 14 days are included in the price. Each additional day is charged at CHF 5 per day — shown transparently and only billed at collection.
Do I need a permit for the skip?
Not on private ground — a driveway, courtyard or building site. As soon as the skip stands on public ground, that is on the road, the pavement or a public parking space, you need a permit from the municipality or the city police. The person placing the order obtains the permit; on request, we provide the skip’s dimensions and weight.
What happens if I don’t separate the waste properly?
Each skip is filled with a single material — one type of waste per skip. If foreign material is found when the load arrives at the disposal plant, the load has to be reclassified, which causes extra costs. If in doubt, just ask us before you fill the skip.
